blueberries, dates and a cup of tea
a late summer afternoon with me
close to an inlet, a long narrow bay,
a place that I love to come any day -

there's a bit of a buzz in this quiet retreat
mountains by sea, on a tree lined street
occasional wildlife, birds in the sky
occasional humans passing on by

biking and jogging, or walking along
everyone's feeling that we all belong
to the oneness everywhere that is found
while breathing in what's all around

in the atmosphere, above the ground
in both heard and unheard sound
it seems that we are all here to find
a bit of a buzz in more than just mind -

on a late summer afternoon with me
